Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
