Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions β€” And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs β€” but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season β€” especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
