Around twenty-five thousand homes in south-east Queensland woke up lacking electricity on the start of the week after severe thunderstorms passed over the region, bringing wind gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Massive Hailstones and Extensive Destruction
Residents witnessed large ice chunks as large as 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
The following day was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing storm activity expected across different parts of both regions.

Medical authorities alerted that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, specifically given the current weather patterns.
